poy7 05.08.04 - 8:31 pm A Pieces of You entry. Mother’s Day 2004 - As a son or daughter, what does Mother's Day mean to you? Does your mom deserve a special day? Honestly, to me Mother’s Day is just another day of the year. I usually get my mom the newest Stephen King book, but I haven’t heard of a new one; plus, they’ve kind of gone down hill in the past few years, so says my mom. It’s just another day to show my love and appreciation to my mom. I suppose those of us with mother’s take it for granted in a way, but I don’t know. I’m sure Mother’s Day can be depressing. I’m sure, actually I know, my mom will be upset tomorrow because her mom died almost a month ago. I don’t want to see or hear my mom cry again. Even though she doesn’t know, but it upsets me a lot to see her grieving. And because of all of the crap she has gone through in the past two years, I think she deserves a special day. I’d like to dedicate a day to her the La Gayla Day. It’d be a day where she got pampered all day. She could go eat anywhere for free, go to all spas free, and go see any scary movie she wanted for free. Either that or send her on one of those mystery cruises.
